Why is "Black" capitalized and "white" is not. Shouldn't they both be capitalized? After all, aren't both of these words used to describing people?

If kids can't understand this then sorry but what the heck? It's pretty basic. The argument it doesn't offer redemption is ridiculous. The redemption is that schools are now mixed and that's the norm. Why are the feelings of white people what matters most? I'm white but I just don't get that way of thinking. Surely it's more important to teach kids of all colours that racism is wrong no matter who is perpetuating it and we should treat everyone equally. Sweeping racism under a rug and pretending it doesn't exist is just gaslighting the Black community, especially if done to protect white sensibilities. You don't get more 'white privilege' than 'white feelings' trumping the teaching of the fact Black people and minorities experience/d racism.

Gottime4dat - maybe you should spend more time reading, writing and thinking? Your spelling is atrocious and embarrassing.

Texas has even banned MLK's letter from Birmingham jail. White supremacy? Probably
