You make good arguments. I am against CRT in schools because of how it has been implemented. A great example of something I’m opposed to is using intersectionality as an oppression meter, in something like a Privilege Walk for example. It’s one thing to teach kids *the idea* that someone’s race, gender or sexual orientation may affect how they’re treated under the law. It’s another to have children compare themselves to one another. Critical Race Theory also has potentially troubling critical theory roots. Anyway thanks for your thoughtful essay. I’d be interested to know how you would imagine CRT being appropriately taught in schools. Facts and the truth about American history absolutely ought to be taught. I’m just not convinced CRT is the best way to do it.

The phrase "white adjacent" is sometimes attached to Jews and Asians. Why do you think that is done and what does each of those groups do to be identified as such?
